This coastal timber home is located in Apollo Bay on Bruny Island in Southern Tasmania.

To protect the coastal environment, the timber design is elevated, has a small footprint and touches the natural environment lightly.

The site allowed for an ideal Passive Solar Designed home with solar access to all areas, natural cross ventilation, natural daylight and shelter from strong coastal winds.

The design connects its inhabitants with the breathtaking natural environment capturing stunning views to Apollo Bay and the D’Entrecasteaux Channel whilst providing shelter from the wild elements with covered outdoor living spaces connecting the two separate pavilions of the home.
